Bloomberg writes that TikTok executives are considering a possible split from Chinese parent ByteDance amid US concerns about national security risks. The separation of  TikTok from ByteDance is a last resort and should be taken only if the current steps do not satisfy the US authorities. To reassure the US that there is no risk, TikTok has agreed to undergo inspections by the Committee on Foreign Investment and to be subject to US-based Oracle Corp. examination and analysis.
