National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan announced that he did not receive any letters from Valentina Matvienko, the Chairperson of the RF Federal Council. He said the letter was sent to Sargis Khandanyan, the chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, who replied. "I did not receive a letter. Ask him, my colleague, who was sent. I can only say that my colleague sent that answer long ago," said Simonyan, noting that Khandanyan replied a day or two after receiving the letter. "I am the owner of my statements. What I said, I said correctly, what I said, I said appropriately, I did not say anything new, I am ready to say the same things today and always." Valentina Matvienko, the President of the RF Federal Council, instructed the preparation and sending of a request to the Armenian Parliament regarding the statements of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. To remind, speaking at the conference of presidents of EU parliaments, Simonyan announced. "The focus of the conference is on the issue of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East. I want to reaffirm that Armenia firmly defends the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Cyprus, and all other countries."
